Wednesday v Plymouth Argyle

Hillsborough
THE MATCH
The Owls head into tonight’s clash at Hillsborough on the back of three consecutive victories.
Four wins from the last five games has put Wednesday well in the survival mix with the gap now just three points to safety.
As we head towards the home straight, the race to avoid the drop is tightening week on week.
Our visitors this evening Plymouth are 16th in the division but only five points above the Owls in 23rd, highlighting the close nature of the battle for Championship survival.
For Argyle, it’s one win from their previous six outings, though that success did come on the road at Middlesbrough just over a week ago.
TEAM NEWS
Wednesday: Di’Shon Bernard is back available from suspension. The defender served a one-match ban last time out as we defeated Rotherham 1-0.
Akin Famewo, now recovered from injury, came back into the team in Bernard’s absence.
Famewo’s return, coupled with Dominic Iorfa’s arrival back from injury will provide the manager with plenty of solid options at the back.
Josh Windass continues his individual work at Middlewood Road as the Owls forward closes in on a return to action.
Plymouth: Ryan Hardie will be assessed ahead of the visit to Hillsborough.
The 12-goal striker picked up a ‘heavy knock’ in the Pilgrims’ 2-0 home defeat to Ipswich but is expected to feature in S6.
