Jose Semedo extended his stay at Sheffield Wednesday in summer 2016.
The 31-year-old initially joined the Owls ahead of the 2011/12 campaign which saw Wednesday gain promotion to the Championship and the midfielder scoop a host of accolades including the club’s Player of the Year.
The Portuguese has earned cult hero status at S6 with his combative and passionate displays at Hillsborough.
Overall the midfielder has played 167 games for Wednesday.
He came through the youth ranks at Sporting Lisbon before enjoying loan stints at Casa Pia, Feirense and Cagliari.
He moved to England in 2007, joining Charlton Athletic where the strong midfielder would go on to make 119 league starts for the Addicks, before a move to the Owls in the summer of 2011.
