The highly-rated goalkeeper has made excellent progress during his rise through the SWFC youth system.
During the 2015/16 campaign, Wildsmith made his senior bow for the Owls in the League Cup clash with Mansfield and went on to make 14 appearances in total.
The custodian's first clean sheet came away at Bolton, followed by memorable cup wins over Arsenal and Newcastle.
The goalkeeper has been recognised at international level with the England Under-20 and Under-21 squads.
A boyhood Wednesdayite, Wildsmith posted his 50th senior Owls appearance in June 2020.
