Wednesday U21 v Blades U21
Friday 13 October
7:00pm
Hillsborough
THE MATCH
Two in-form sides go head-to-head on Friday night at Hillsborough.
Wednesday take on Sheffield United in the Professional Development League.
The Blades have dropped only two points from seven games and sit top of the division.
The Owls, though, have been strong too, suffering only one defeat so far this term, and are seven points behind in second spot.
Our last two outings have been on the road where the Wednesday youngsters picked up impressive wins over Burnley (0-4) and Birmingham (0-3).
Striker Bailey Cadamarteri has been in outstanding form of late, with four goals in his last two outings – performances which merited a place on the bench for the seniors in our goalless draw with Huddersfield.
He wasn’t the only one, as exciting attacker Joey Phuthi was also included in the first team ranks on Saturday.
United head into the game on the back of a thumping win over Hull City (3-0) and 2-2 draw with Reading in the Premier League Cup on Monday night.
