Young Owl Franck Betra has suffered an injury setback that will see the striker sidelined for effectively the rest of the season.
Betra was taken off during the Development Squad’s recent friendly encounter with Middlesbrough and the prognosis is much worse than first feared.
Coach Lee Bullen told swfc.co.uk: “He’s had a hard time of it recently and we are all sorry for Franck.
“He was knocked out against Burnley then went down against Middlesbrough and initially it looked like a knock that would see him out for seven to ten days.
“But further tests have shown it to be much worse and it’s looking like he will be out for pretty much the rest of the season.
“We all wish him a speedy recovery.”
