Owls forward Fernando Forestieri has been selected in the Football League Team of the Week.
The attacker had a hand in all three of Wednesday’s goals against Huddersfield on Saturday and rightfully takes up his place in the Football League XI.
Wednesday trailed 1-0 until the 78th minute when Forestieri jinked past a number of challenges before seeing his shot cleared off the line, from which Lucas Joao finished on the rebound.
For the second, the former Watford man showed excellent improvisation to send the ball back across goal for Kieran Lee to apply the finish.
With Huddersfield desperately searching for a way back into the game in stoppage time, Forestieri carried the ball from inside his own half before teeing up Joao on the edge of the box, who put the icing on the cake with a stunning effort.
