And not just in terms of the three points but the manner in which they were won in difficult circumstances, having lost three players to injury and trailed for a long period in the game.
While Wednesday can be proud and take confidence from this run, Lee Bullen has pointed out that nothing has been achieved as yet and many more tests remain on the horizon.
“It has been a significant few weeks result-wise in the league,” he said. “But ultimately we haven’t done anything yet.
“We have to go away to Derby, away to Brighton and away to Hull and they are all big games that could influence everything.
“But we had a tough one to go away to Birmingham and we came away with three points.
“All we can do is keep answering the questions put in front of us and luckily enough we have got good players that are up to that task.”
Reflecting back on his time as a player at the club, Bullen believes in the past it is games like the one at Birmingham over the weekend where the Owls would be cursing their luck and returning empty-handed.
Not the case this season, he added: “It’s a great place to be in.
“It was a typical rollercoaster Sheffield Wednesday match. Quite often over the years, having played in them myself, they are the type of games that went against us.
“We would play well but end up losing a game like that.
“That is the difference now, the quality of players that we have got with the resolute determination and you can see that on the pitch.”
