The result and performance was the perfect tonic following the midweek FA Youth Cup exit to Stoke at Hillsborough.
Having fallen behind in the first half, Brad Beatson restored parity with a bullet header from Jack Stobbs’ wide delivery.
Then came the moment of the match after the break as striker Jonathan Fusco smashed home on the angle from distance.
