- Ipswich boss wary of Owls' attacking options
In-form Ipswich head to Hillsborough this evening and manager Mick McCarthy is wary of the Owls’ attacking threat.
Wednesday notched their first home win of the season last time out against Reading and the former Wolves boss is expecting a tough challenge under the lights in S6.
He said: “We have just had a good result and we are going there under the lights.
“They have had a good start, and I thought they were excellent when we played them the last game of the season, I thought we were lucky to win because they were the better team.
“Stuart Gray has got them playing some really good football and it’s always a difficult place to play.
“They have still got Nuhiu in attack, he is a handful, and May looks particularly sharp and I know there was interest in him from other places, so he looks a good signing.”
Ipswich arrive on the back of four consecutive home wins in September but McCarthy believes his side will have their hands full this evening as they aim for a perfect month – five wins from five
He added: “They are a solid 4-4-2 team and they don’t play anything strange or unusual, there is no-one playing in behind or sitting. They are a really capable team.”
