Owls favourites for Yorkshire derby

10 January 2014

The Owls will be out to move further away from danger with three points in the lunchtime kick-off against Yorkshire rivals Leeds on Saturday, live on Sky Sports 1 HD.

Leeds have failed to win in their last five matches and also suffered a shock FA Cup exit at the hands of Sky Bet League 2 outfit Rochdale last week.

In contrast, Wednesday have lost one of their last six matches and climbed out of the relegation zone last time out with a 2-0 win over Blackpool.

The Owls go into the Yorkshire derby as 8/5 favourites, while United are 17/10 and the draw 9/4.

Honours were even in the corresponding fixture back at Elland Road in August, and it was the same 1-1 scoreline when the sides met at Hillsborough in 2012.

It's 5/1 with the online bookmaker for a repeat this Saturday.

December Player of the Month Connor Wickham has bagged seven goals in his last nine games and is 5/1 to break the deadlock on Saturday and 11/8 to score anytime.
