The Owls will continue to pursue new recruits on an ongoing basis, says Stuart Gray.
The head coach revealed he came close to snaring a temporary target ahead of Saturday’s draw at Charlton and will carry on regardless – particularly with a mounting injury list.
He told swfc.co.uk: “We were close on a player on Friday but the player in question was called into his team’s squad because they suffered an injury.
“We have our own injuries too and we lost Joe Mattock on Saturday so I am looking everywhere.
“And we will continue looking, we will continue to put the calls in.
“You never stop looking because you always want to improve and that’s what we are trying to do.”
